Brian Reid, Ph.D.
Dr. Brian Reid is a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Internet Systems Consortium, also serving as Director of Corporate Communications. His 4-decade career in the computer industry has included Lucent Bell Laboratories, Digital Equipment Corporation, Stanford University, Carnegie Mellon University, and other leading technology companies. His work has included various aspects of Apollo 17, NASDAQ, compiler design, programming languages, document representation languages, internetworking, fiber-to-the-home, DNS, and network administration. He operates a stratum-1 NTP clock at his home in Palo Alto, California.
Dr. Reid is a member of the Board of Trustees of Doane Academy in Burlington, New Jersey. He is an editor of Anglicans Online, the oldest Anglican web presence. He created the Leica Users Group online community in 1992 and still manages it. His paternal grandfather sold snake oil and other patent medicines in Pennsylvania and West Virginia in the early 20th century.
