Juergen Perlinger

Juergen Perlinger started out specializing in realtime applications for embedded systems used for the control of substation nodes in the electrical grid. In 2003 the focus shifted to PC systems for the same range of applications, and since 2012 he’s been working more in the power quality aspect of grid monitoring and control.

Since timekeeping is an essential part of these type of SCADA systems, contact with NTP was a logical consequence and he decided to become attached to the crew in 2007 as a volunteer.

While Juergen’s primary focus in the NTP project is the algorithmic and calculus stuff dealing with time stamps, conversions and calendars, he works in other areas of the codebase as well.

Juergen appreciates a good cup of coffee.
