Richard Cochran

Richard Cochran started out wanting to become a classical musician, but ended up as a computer programmer. After graduating from Oberlin Conservatory, he went on to live and work as a freelance musician in Vienna, Austria. Later he earned a Master of Music degree and then a Master of Science in Computer Science, both from UMass Amherst. His career has brought him to the fields of RADAR and Test and Measurement systems. Richard has been a Linux fanatic for many years now, and is the author and maintainer of the Linux kernel PTP subsystem.
