Network Time Foundation wants to highlight the following accomplishments for the first and second quarters of 2016:
We are very excited to announce two new institutional members joining NTF’s NTP (Network Time Protocol) Consortium: Blue Coat Systems & Spectracom
We successfully moved our internet services from ISC in Redwood City, California to VM and Cloud resources provided by the Markley Cloud in Boston. The GPS receivers have been moved from ISC to southern Oregon. We’re in the process of moving the remaining hardware from Redwood City to ServerCentral’s location in Chicago. We truly appreciate all that ISC has done for us, and are grateful for what the Markley Group and ServerCentral are currently doing.
We are still ironing out the creaky bits, so please let us know if you see anything that requires our attention.
The Combined Federal Campaign approved our application to participate in the 2016 government employee donation program. If you work for the government, please donate to NTF via auto-withdrawal. Any amount helps!
Please see this link for a complete update of Q1 and Q2 accomplishments.
And please join NTF! Membership in one or more of our consortia helps us address your critical needs. Donations above and beyond membership, and full or partial project sponsorships are greatly appreciated. All funding goes toward supporting NTP and other NTF-sponsored projects so you can continue to trust your time and your data, and continue to be confident that the world’s clocks are on time, all the time. After all, knowing the correct time isn’t always important - until it is.
