NTF Second Half 2024 Accomplishments

Project updates and new initiatives drove Network Time Foundation accomplishments during the second half of 2024. Data center upgrades and website enhancements continued as well as improved outreach and new community communications and informative podcasts.
Accomplishments during the last six months of 2024 included:
- Virtual event: Moon Landing and Lunar Time
- Virtual event: Calendars and the Evolution of Timekeeping
- Nerdeala presentation on Network Time Protocols and Network Time Foundation
- Intel considering a PTP-related library release with libptpmgmt and an NTF membership
- Harlan Stenn interviewed by Peter Schmidt of Code for Thought
- Virtual event: Crypto Creep and Ensuring Timestamp Authenticity
- Virtual event: Tick Tock, Don’t Get Hacked
- Published the Fall 2024 newsletter
- Published the ARIN grant report for the NTP TCP Services Daemon
Software/Protocol Releases:
- LinuxPTP 4.4 released
- libptpmgmt 1.4 released
NTF institutional member renewals in Q3 and Q4:
2025 has kicked off with events already scheduled for Q1 and new projects underway. It’s going to be another exciting year at NTF!
