The NTP Project is pleased to announce the release candidate for NTP 4.2.8p18, a Point Release of the Reference Implementation of the Network Time Protocol (NTP) software. It is available via download or by pointing your ftp client to anonymous@ftp.nwtime.org.

This release candidate fixes 40 bugs and provides 43 other improvements. Refer to the Changelog for details.

You can assist the NTP Project by testing 4.2.8p18-RC1 and reporting any bugs, issues, or desired enhancements via https://bugs.ntp.org/. If no significant issues are reported against this release candidate, ntp-4.2.8p18 will be released on Thursday, 23 May 2024.
